Precision mowing in St. Louis
The same crew, every week from April through October. You'll get a note when they're done, and you won't have to think about the grass again.
Saturday mornings back
Between work, school and practice, the lawn is usually the thing that slides. We've been mowing St. Louis lawns since 2001, and the job hasn't changed much: show up on the same day, cut it right, trim and edge everything, and leave the drive cleaner than we found it. You shouldn't have to check, and you shouldn't have to call to ask where we are.
What's included in precision mowing
Weekly visits
The same day each week, all season. Bi-weekly is available if your lawn grows slowly.
Clean, even mow lines
Sharp blades and a pattern we alternate every visit, so the grass stands up straight.
Trimming and edging
String trimming around beds, trees and fences, and crisp edges on walks and drives. Every visit.
Blow-off and cleanup
Clippings and debris cleared off the driveway, walks and patio before the crew leaves.
They know where the sprinkler heads are, and which gate sticks
Your yard gets one crew, not whoever is free that day. They learn it, and you'll know them by name. When a visit is done, you get a text or email saying so.
How we cut, and why it matters
Good mowing is mostly small decisions made the same way every week. Our crews know soil, grass types and irrigation, and these three habits do most of the work.
Height set for the season
We raise the deck as summer heats up so the grass shades its own roots, then bring it back down in fall.
Blades sharpened on a schedule
A dull blade tears the grass and leaves brown tips. A sharp one cuts clean, and the lawn stays green.
A different pattern each visit
Changing direction keeps the grass from leaning one way and stops the wheels wearing ruts in the same tracks.
April through October, every week
St. Louis grass grows fastest in spring and again in early fall. Weekly visits keep up with it, so we never take off more than the lawn can handle in one cut.
Spring growth is at its fastest. This is when skipping a week shows the most.
We cut higher through the heat so the lawn holds moisture and stays green into August.
Growth picks back up. We step the height down gradually as the lawn heads toward winter.
Professional lawn mowing benefits
Healthier turf
The right height and a clean cut mean less stress on the grass, and fewer thin or brown patches.
Fewer weeds and pests
A lawn that never gets overgrown gives weeds and insects fewer places to take hold.
A yard that always looks kept
Not just the day after mowing. Weekly visits keep it consistent, whatever the street looks like.
Your time back
No mower to maintain, no gas to buy, no Saturday lost to the yard. Better results, too.
What people ask before they sign up
Do I need to be home? +
No. Leave the gate unlocked and the crew takes care of it. You'll get a text or email when the visit is done.
What happens when it rains on my day? +
Mowing wet grass tears it and leaves ruts, so we move the visit to the next dry day. We'll let you know when it's rescheduled.
Should I choose weekly or bi-weekly? +
Weekly, for most St. Louis lawns. In spring the grass can grow enough in two weeks that one cut takes off too much at once. Bi-weekly can work for smaller or shadier lawns, and we'll tell you honestly which suits yours.
Can you work around a party or event? +
Yes. Tell us the date ahead of time and we'll plan the visit so the yard is fresh for it, and out of the way on the day.
Can I start partway through the season? +
Yes. We'll fit you into a crew's route and you'll stay on it for the rest of the season.
