Most yards already have a walkway. It's the worn line across the lawn from the drive to the side door, or the muddy stretch by the gate. We start there.
Front entry walks get wider and more formal, sized so two people can walk side by side. Side yard and garden paths can narrow, curve, and soften into stepping stones through the beds.

We bring samples to the consultation and set them next to your house. Stone looks different against your brick than it does in a catalog.

Walkway questions we hear most
It depends on length, material, and how much grading the route needs. Gravel paths cost the least and natural stone the most. After we walk the property you get a fixed price, and we can price two materials side by side if you're deciding.
Freeze and thaw is what breaks walkways here, and it starts below the surface. Any material holds up on a proper base: compacted gravel at the right depth, with grading that keeps water moving off the walk. Natural stone and clay brick age the best.
Permeable pavers have wider joints filled with gravel, so rain soaks through instead of running off. They make sense where water pools, where a walk slopes toward the house, or where your city limits hard surface area.
Yes. If the stone is sound and the base failed, we lift it, rebuild the base, and relay the same stone. If it's cracked concrete, we break it out and haul it away before we start.
Yes, and it's easiest during the build, when the wiring can run under the walk rather than through finished beds.
