Will it get stuck or have issues?
During initial setup, the mower may occasionally get stuck while learning the layout of your property. Our team works with the system during this phase to train it and make adjustments. Once established, it operates consistently, and we continue to monitor and manage performance.
Will I have ruts in the lawn?
No. The mower is lightweight and designed to operate without damaging turf, even in wet conditions.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes. The mower is equipped with sensors that detect obstacles and stop operation when needed. The cutting system uses small blades designed to minimize risk and will not cut skin under normal contact.
What about the striped look of traditional mowing?
Robotic mowing still creates stripes and any pattern you want. We can program the system exactly the course you want it.
Will Quiet Village still maintain my property?
Yes. All standard services continue, including edging, trimming, cleanup, blade servicing and support.
Does it use a lot of electricity?
No. The system uses approximately 14 to 20 cents per week, or about $6 to $8 per year.
Is the charging station noticeable?
The charging station is compact and designed to sit unobtrusively in the landscape. If preferred, it can be softened or screened with plantings.
Is this more expensive than traditional mowing?
This is considered a premium service and is typically about 40% higher than traditional mowing. For the first 100 properties in the pilot program, the service is offered at the same price as current mowing and locked in for a 3-year agreement.
Why a 3-year agreement?
The system is designed to deliver consistent results over time. Most homeowners prefer stability in their service provider, and the agreement supports long-term performance and pricing consistency.
What happens if it is damaged?
We'll replace it. If it's damaged by a vehicle, it would typically be handled through the driver's car insurance, the same way any property damage caused by a vehicle would be treated.
What happens if it is stolen?
The unit is equipped with a tracker, so we can locate and recover it.
HOA and host-home considerations
Electricity use for the system is minimal, typically around $6 to $8 per year, with little to no noticeable impact on utility costs. For designated host homes, Quiet Village offers a small thank-you, such as a free seasonal hanging basket or a $25 gift card to a partner restaurant. The charging station itself is compact and placed discreetly within the landscape, and if desired, it can be softened or blended in with surrounding plantings.
