Why Is Soil Testing So Important?

Have you had trouble maintaining your plants in past years but you never knew why?  Your soil may be the culprit.  Before you plan out your garden this year, it’s critical for you to find out the condition of your soil.

Normal soil often lacks one or more essential nutrients such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfur, manganese, copper and zinc.  However, all of the nutrients are necessary to feed your plants and keep them healthy. Sometimes the pH level of the soil, how acidic or basic it is, can be too high or too low for ideal plant growth. In that case, the dirt in your yard needs a bit of extra help to keep your plants happy.
